About
A steady hand for difficult conversations
Jordan Ellis mediates civil and family disputes for attorneys across South Texas.

Meet Jordan
Twenty years of finding the deal in the room
Jordan Ellis spent twelve years as a civil trial lawyer in San Antonio, on both the plaintiff and defense sides, before turning to mediation full time. That history shows up on mediation day: Jordan understands the pressures on each lawyer and the client behind them.
Most of Jordan's practice is personal injury, commercial and employment litigation, with a growing family law docket. Sessions run in the downtown office, at counsel's office, or by Zoom.
Outside the office Jordan coaches youth soccer and is slowly losing a long war with the backyard garden.

The approach
Prepared. Even-handed. Persistent.
Prepared
Mediation statements, key exhibits and prior offers are read before the session, and a short call with each side sets the agenda.
Even-handed
Everyone gets a fair hearing and straight talk about risk. Jordan never carries one side's message as an argument.
Persistent
Impasse is a starting point. Follow-up calls after the session settle a surprising number of cases.
Where sessions happen
The downtown San Antonio office has two caucus rooms and a joint session room. Jordan also travels to counsel's office anywhere in South Texas, and runs secure Zoom sessions with private breakout rooms.
Fees & cancellations
Flat session fees, shared equally by the parties unless they agree otherwise. Sessions cancelled at least ten business days ahead are not charged.
